Some days I like him some days I don’t

I’m been seeing this guy for almost two months.. we are not exclusive we are just talking terms. But sometimes I like him and other days I don’t . I’m not really experienced in the dating world so I’m not sure how this works. But I’m wondering am I suppose to have feelings for him by now or things like that take time.? We have fun together and he’s a great guy. I do miss him sometimes as well. I’m just unsure. I guess I expect to feel butterflies by now
