I got my cartilage or helix pierced 4 days ago. Right now I am using a sea salt mixture to soak it in and then a saline wound wash to clean it every morning and night. I was using Johnson and Johnson baby soap to clean the jewelry and around the piercing but after it started itching bad last night after cleaning I figured I would stop using that. So I am no longer using the soap. I didn’t use it when I cleaned it this morning, but tonight it’s itching bad and it’s swollen and sore. Throughout the day it’s good it doesn’t hurt or bother me bad for the most part aside from a little soreness. Earlier I did slightly bump it on my shoulder, but I didn’t think it was hard enough to make it feel like this. I have also kept my hair up ever since getting it pierced so it didn’t hang on the bar and irritate it. Any ideas what this could be or what could cause this??
