We have a big dog mix breed and she’s a major sweetheart and loves people and other dogs.. however I used to take her down to the paddock when I went for a ride but cause I don’t have horses anymore we don’t go, we tried taking her for walks but then she started jumping the fence and we live basically on the highway so the last thing we want is for her to be hit by a truck 😔 so atm we have her on a chain and Can only let her off when one of us is outside to watch her but she’s started to chew on everything, she’s destroyed chairs and even started ripping apart the side of the house 😩 we wanna get her a playmate but we are allowed to till her chewing problem is fixed.

We also tried having her in the house and she was amazing and perfectly behaved but my fiancé’s parents (landlords) won’t allow it.

Idk what to do, we love her and don’t wanna have to sell her on but she can’t keep going like this. A life on a chain is no life 😩

Plz no rude comments. The chain was a last resort. We can’t risk her being hit by a truck (which has happened a lot around here) or being picked up by someone passing through which also happens quite frequently.
