Online Pill Prescriptions?

I’m wanting to use BC to extra protect myself since I’ve only been using condom and pull out method. I read that you can get prescriptions online but I have never heard of anyone doing that at all. Like it just seemed very odd to me, but I feel that’s the only way I’d be comfortable getting it. (I know I shouldn’t be ashamed but I have reasons I don’t want to disclose on here.) How does it work? I don’t know anyone close to me that does that so that’s why it’s strange to me. Please no rude comments, I just want helpful information.
