How quickly does your temperature change after waking up?

I took my temperature at my normal time this morning, and it came back at 97.13, which is almost a whole degree lower than what my temperature has been the last few days. So I took it again immediately after, just because I was curious, and it came back at 98.04, which is closer to what it had been this week.

All I had done was turn off the alarm on my phone, reached my hand out to grab the thermometer off the bedside table, and taken my temperature. I didn’t get out of bed or talk or even move much. Does being awake for one minute really change your temperature that much??
