Hey guys, I'm starting highschool this August, got any tips on how to make it easier?

As a freshmen be nice to other people. Don’t act entitled because there’s nothing upperclassmen hate more than freshmen who act like they own the place.

Find an organization or group that you can identify with (band, orchestra, choir, dance, etc) and divert a lot of your attention there, like a rock for you to stabilize yourself on. Try to talk to everyone in there including upperclassmen (who really aren't that bad, yes they have a stigma that freshmen are annoying, but they're always willing to change their opinion). That way you kinda have a group of people you can chill with. Like everyone else says, focus on academics and join many clubs to test out your hobbies. You'll do fine. I believe in you

So in the movies they show upperclassmen as these big mean teens but they honestly don’t even care. Focus on school work pleas everyone says that freshmen year isn’t a big deal but when you’re retaking freshman English as a senior you’ll think differently. im gonna be a senior this year 😆 but its really important that you talk to people in your classes. my freshman year i barely talked to anyone because i already had a friend group, but we all ended up going our separate ways and i didnt really have a group of friends until my junior year because i never tried to make friends and freshman year. but its totally normal for friend groups to change you just have to be social and join clubs that interest you and dont be afraid to put yourself out there because there’s definitely other people who are feeling the same way you are.

don’t let any boys side track you. focus on YOUR SELF. be the best you that you can be and don’t mistake snakes for friends. also don’t send nudes to upperclassman. at my school they have a whole insta page of freshmen girls nudes that upperclassman guys got. don’t make that mistake :/

-i’m about to be a sophomore and i just gotta say don’t take classes that are too difficult. i took honors/advanced classes bc it bumped up my grade a letter but tbh it STRESSES you out. don’t take them unless you actually think you can handle them.
-also try to stay on top of your grades bc once i let mine slip most of them all fell and i was left to make it all up. 
-when it comes to friends i wasnt the most popular, but as soon as i found a good friend, she introduced me to her friends and now i have a good amount. it may take time but it’s better than having fake friends. 
-but when it come to boyfriends, sorry but i can’t help with that😂

I definitely agree with the other girls!!! Most high schools have a lot there for you in terms of clubs that really help you feel a little more secure. I’m a senior myself and it goes by really fast so enjoy yourself and try new things!
