Considering going back to school?🤷🏻‍♀️😖😬

I graduated high school in 2016 and right away I became a house wife, I worked a few odd jobs here and there but none of them ever turned into something serious... i got pregnant and I now have an 8 month old son and am SAHM and I have always wanted to be a SAHM...up until recently that is 😖 i constantly think about wanting to do more with my life and being more of a positive influence for my son...and the more think about it, the more that I really want to go back to school and get my bachelor's in nursing!❤ but heres my dilemma, I have no idea where to even start or who to talk to to point me in the right direction!! I have no idea about colleges or degress or how i would even afford it and then on top of that i would need to figure out child care for my son...I havent even started this journey and i already feel incredibly discouraged 😭😥 and how do i balance going to school and being a mom?  How did yall do it?! 
I really just need some advice/tips or even just maybe some encouraging words

I went back to school after my kid turned 3 and that was about 3 years after I graduated high school. I went full time to school and for the first two years worked 20 hours on the weekend. After that I worked some more with an internship. I graduated Dec 2017 and have been at a wonderful place since then.
I accepted a lot of help. I had help from the state for daycare. I had help from my mother to cover what the state did not. 
It was the best decision I ever made. It enabled me to leave an abusive deadbeat. It was how I met my current partner and showed me how life should really be. 
I took out 50,000 in loans. I needed it because I was supporting a family of 5 for the most part of it. I would recommend that you take as little as possible. My career choice makes paying that off easy but I cannot imagine how hard it would be to pay off something like that on a Teacher's salary. 
One thing I would do, in your position, is go out and talk to nurses about the profession before getting started. Nursing is notorious for being hard, under paid, and ridiculously long, strange hours. That's before you factor in patients. Even if you decide nursing isn't for you, you should identify other areas that give you the life you want and try for them.

I would start of with community college for 2 years to get the basic classes out of the way and if you want to stay at community to graduate with a major in nursing then that would be fine, I want to do that too but transfer to a UC for the last 2 years to just focus on Nursing, most community colleges have a child care facility, you could also do online classes for college. Apply for any college on the website and follow the instructions, they should let you know who to contact for your questions. I'm going to college this year so I still don't know a ton about it, but I hope this helps you in some way!
