Rude Doctor Vent

Hello ladies, I just had to switch doctors as my original doctor surprised me when she left the country for good.

Anyways, I went to my new doctor for the first time today and she really upset me. I went with my husband and while we were checking the baby’s measurements, she looks my husband straight in the eyes then says “well since she’s bigger the baby will be bigger as well, I’m small on the other hand so my baby would be small” out of nowhere! I didn’t even ask a question related to the baby’s measurement or anything.

Long story short that really upset me, I was so shocked that I couldn’t say anything I just stayed quiet till the end of the appointment and left.

First of all, I know I’m over weight I don’t need it to be pointed out. She didn’t say anything in medical terms like I’m worried your weight would effect the baby or gestational diabetes or anything like that. It was just a snarky comment. Plus she’s such a young doctor, full make up, dressed in pants and a t-shirt, no doctors coat or proper shirt or anything didn’t look professional at all. I don’t know if I’m emotional and hormonal or overreacting all I know is it’s been hours and I’m still very upset. Sorry for the long rant.
