Afraid for more stitches

I had a 10 lbs 3 ozs baby 6 weeks ago. I just had my 6 week check and I was told I might have to have the stitches redone because part of me is not going back in and healing. I feel bummed out and I’m uncomfortable all day. I am now wondering if I should have pushed for a c section?

I’m also wondering if anyone out there has had this done? More stitches after stitches ? I had a third degree tear.
