I messed up 😔

I was going through the drive thru at McDonald’s and I was on FaceTime with my boyfriend. I pulled up to the window and it was a guy that asked for my money. I freaked out and muted the phone cause I felt like my bf was gonna get mad and that the guy was gonna say something flirty and I wanted to avoid an argument with my bf. Well he realized that I muted him and now he’s so upset that what was the reason for muting and what was said that I had to mute him. And he is so upset and he doesn’t even wanna talk to me. What do I do? I shouldn’t have muted him but I freaked out. He says he doesn’t want me to talk to him and he feels humiliated and betrayed.
