Any side effect for progesterone injection ?

I am 40 yrs old and this is my first pregnancy. I have fibroids in my uterus and 18 weeks pregnant now . Doctor advised me for progesterone injection once in a week up to 36 weeks. Will it have any side effects after delivery?

My sister had to take it. No problems after but during she was sick as a dog every day. Progesterone side affects are pregnancy symptoms but extreme. I was on it the first trimester and I was miserable.

The effect of the shots lasts for 7 days only...and it's localized effect...itchiness and feeling a lump in the site of injection..but nothing serious

I had that shot with my second and I'm taking it now with my third. There are no side effects after delivery.
