Help 😭

Amy • UK 🇬🇧 Married 💍 Mummy to Emilie 👶🏻 Secondary Teacher 👩🏻‍🏫

Okay so at almost 11 weeks old, my daughter up until this point has been an absolute dream on a night.

She’s never slept through, waking to feed usually at midnight, 3am, and then 5-6am (that last one is usually when I will get up properly but she often goes back for another sleep until 8-9ish) but I never minded the wake ups because they were like dream feeds - she would wake to feed but as soon as she would finish she’d go straight back down to sleep no problem.

These past three nights she has done anything but go down. She will fall asleep on the boob, in my arms, but the second I put her in her crib she’s kicking, flailing her arms about (so she hits herself) and crying.

Is this just a new thing of hers? Will she go back to ‘normal’? Is it because of her first vaccinations (which she had on Friday?) she’s quite full of cold and mucusy, could it be that?

The one thing I could always count on was that she slept at night and now she isn’t it’s making the days really difficult.

Here’s a picture of the face she greets me with in the morning by way of apology
