How to use formula?

I'm getting the hang on BF, however I just get anxiety when I know I'm going to feed my baby. 
I will need to ask my midwife but would like some pointers on how to use Formula back to back with BF?
Some say it's a horrible idea that the baby will get used to being bottle fed

It’s not that baby will get bottle preference; it’s that the more you supplement with formula the less your body will produce. 
Breastfeeding is supply vs demand. If you are filling baby’s belly with formula then baby isn’t take milk from your breast and that tells your body hat baby doesn’t need that feeding so it will stop producing. 
Also breastmilk and formula process differently in a baby’s belly. Breastmilk breaks down very quickly compared to formula. Which means breastfed babies eat more often and formula fed babies tend to go long between feedings. This also decreases milk production. 
You can do both; formula and breastfeed but every single time a formula bottle is offered you need to pump to signal to your body to make milk. 
As far as how to prepare your formula you just have to read the package instructions that come with the formula you pick. Each is different. Some are premade some ask for certain water etc.
