More predictable?

Question

Only a couple weeks old, but do feedings start to get a little more predictable. He eats all the time, probably cluster feeding too, it’s just hard to go out and do things and be unsure about when he’s gonna be hungry. Not that I mind feeding him elsewhere, just wondering if things get a little easier?

I was in the same boat. My son ate every 30-45 for the first 8 weeks. It was SO hard to go anywhere or do anything. It wasn’t until 8 weeks that he started to go longer in between feeds and he put himself on a schedule. Has he been evaluated for a tongue and lip tie? That makes all the difference. We didn’t find out about my sons tongue/lip tie until 6 weeks. Once that was fixed things got better! Also keep in mind that it’s summer, depending on where you live and how hot it is baby could be nursing because he is thirsty and/or trying to regulate their body temperature. Also it’s not necessarily a bad thing that baby is eating a lot during the day, because the more they eat during the day, the less they need to eat at night! And the more they are on the breast the better your milk supply will be, especially in the first 6 weeks! Hope this helps! You’re not alone!

That’s normal! Right around 3 1/2 weeks my son started getting more regular and eating more and lasting longer between feeds. Cluster feeding is exhausting but it will spread out more.
