Do UTIs go away on their own?

Can the body get rid of a UTI? I was having pretty intense symptoms yesterday but today I've been feeling pretty much fine. I've been drinking a ton of water and peeing like every 40 minutes. Could it be possible I actually managed to flush out the bacteria? Or has it happened to you where the symptoms go away for a day or two and then come back?

I think they can go away on there own but it's also possible you just arent feeling symptoms because your keeping your urin so diluted with water. When I have a uti I drink a bunch of water to help with the pain till I get the antibiotics. The pain and discomfort would go away but at my appointment I still came back posative for the uti. Hopefully yours did clear up but be careful, untreated UTI's can spread to your kidneys.

If I get one I take cranberry pills and drink water all day and cranberry juice and that always seems to work also over the counter pills for it also work!
