Strange Behavior

My husband has been exhibiting some unusual behaviors lately. For instance, we were hanging out in our room, watching TV and his phone rang. He answered but only kinda grunted his response and went "oh yea", while walking out of the room. He not only left the room, he left the house and was gone for about a half hour talking and walking to the driveway and backyard. After ending the call he finally came back and continued with our TV show. I didn't ask any questions and expected him to do what he normally does and mention something about the phone call. He didn't and I left it alone.

It's been a few days and that call is still on my mind so I convinced myself to talk to him. This is our conversation..

Me: hey, the other day you got a call and left the house for a while to have that conversation. Seemed pretty intense, what was it about?

Him: what day?

Me: Sunday

Him: was the baby sleeping?

Me: I don't think so

Him: Idk, I need more info

Me: well it wasn't my call so I don't have anymore info to give

Him: well I don't even know what day it was

Me: I told you Sunday and how is the day even important?

Him: idk, probably was talking to dad or someone at the office 🤷🏾‍♀️

Me: so that's your reasoning for leaving the house to talk?

Him: I guess, I don't recall the day

In 7yrs of marriage he has never left the room to take a call without me asking him to. He has never had a conversation with his father or someone from the office and not tell me about it, as it's always some drama or the other. For him to now act like it was months ago and he has trouble recalling the date and time, when it was only a few days ago, is unlike him. I honestly don't wanna think it's some sneaky shit going on, but come on, he did absolutely nothing to ease those thoughts.
