NT test measurement high - anyone else?

Question

Just got back from 12 week scan, although was measuring at 13 weeks. 
NT measurement was coming in between 3.2 - 3.9 so had bloods done and was referred to maternity assessment unit. They went through the process and have booked in a high risk scan for 16 weeks time, I think to check baby’s heart. 
I’m in full on panic mode. May need CVS and/or amniocentesis.  Depending on results from combined test we’ll probably do a private NIPT/Harmony test too. 
Anyone else in a similar situation?

First of all, do not panic until you get your tests back! Lots of women have healthy babies and the fluid shrinks over the course of pregnancy. Unfortunately that was not the case for me. In my last pregnancy, my son’s NT measured 4.0 Genetic testing showed he had Trisomy 21. His heart ultimately stopped at 17 weeks this past January. But there’s hope even in my story. I’m now almost 14 weeks pregnant with a baby that passed the NT scan and genetic testing with flying colors. Try to stay calm as you wait and remember that there is always hope!

Not me personally but a friend’s reading was 3.8. She didn’t have any further tests as she would never have considered an abortion. When the baby was born she was absolutely thrilled because it was *perfectly healthy*! No genetic abnormalities whatsoever. 
Since then she’s actually regretted not doing further tests so that she could have had peace of mind for the remainder of her pregnancy. She told me up until the birth she had been quite stressed and made lots of preparations for a special needs child which then were rendered completely unnecessary!

I'm in that situation! My baby's is measuring around 3.4 mm. The ultrasound tech told me if it was a chromosomal abnormality it was most likely something like a heart defect, or that it could be nothing.
There was blood work sent as well as the finger prick test. Said I should get an answer within 2 weeks.
They booked me a scan for 18 weeks and 20 weeks and said if there isn't anything alarming then I wouldn't need any more ultrasounds.
I'm very nervous. I had a missed miscarriage last year and was told it was most likely a chromosomal abnormality. I had a D&C and they told me I would be told if there was anything wrong but I never got an answer.
I'm hoping to hear good news soon and hoping you hear the same!!
