How long between the midwife and 1st scan appointment?

I’m going to the midwife for registration on August 1st when I’m 10.5 weeks. Any ideas on how long it will be until they can get me a scan? Will I be able to make the appointment on the day? Or have to wait for a date in the post?

I believe you can have the dating scan anytime between 12 and 14 weeks.

My booking appointment was at 9+4, and the midwife requested the ultrasound at my hospital of choice. My notes say if i don't get a call from the hospital by 12 weeks, to call them

They book it usually for when your around 12 weeks, the midwife will book it once your booking appointment is finished and you get letter in post within the week. That's what happened with me anyway x
