Long distance relationship

So ive been long distance for about a year now. Ive been with him for close to 2 1/2 years and he rarely intiates contact first.it is mostly me. Recently we have gone 2 days without talking... It is taking a drain on me and makes me feelinsecure that he doesnt feel the need to talk or even text me.

Should iconfront him? What do i say? He just disappears for days unless i call him.
