shampoo and conditioner !!!!?????

im so confused.. ive never heard that shampoo and conditioner could be dangerous while pregnant from anyone in my family but im reading everywhery that i have to find safe shampoos and conditioners that are all super expensive, obviously if thats what i have to do to ensure a safe healthy baby then so be it.. but, is it necessary?

I’ve never changed anything in my hair, body or skin care while pregnant. I have a healthy four year old and am pregnant with a healthy baby boy so. I don’t think it’s necessary

Lol that is so not true. In reality the expensive ones can be worse. If they’re thinking about the stuff in the shampoo, there’s cheap brands that have ‘no sulfate, no paraben’ and blah blah blah. There’s Maui, there’s Shea moisture & some for curls specifically too. 
I’ve never changed mine, no point to me.

Theres a huge fear out there of chemicals but anything you buy at the store is perfectly safe. Same for cleaning products and any other personal care products.

I stopped using my shampoo that had sodium lauryl sulfate (NOT sodium laureth sulfate). I’ve read it’s better to avoid it, even when not pregnant. 
🤷🏻‍♀️ maybe too extreme? Oh well 😊

I’ve never heard of it being dangerous to your baby. I’ve heard of chemical sensitivities and there are some moms who prefer to use more natural products with less “chemicals”, but there are risks to using the natural stuff too. I mean, if you think “natural”, you think of lush. But many of the oils and herbs they use in their products are not recommended for pregnant women to use, and that is actually studied more than the effects of like parabens or sulfates in regular shampoos. 
I think it’s all just preference and a scare tactics. Do what you feel is best for you.
