I am a few days late but I had my identical twins early. This wasn’t unexpected, they were actually supposed to come on Wednesday 7/17 but they decided to come on Sunday 7/14. I was trying to make it to 34 weeks, so was pretty close. They came at 33 weeks and 4 days. I had been in hospital since June 28th due to Baby Bs umbilical cord. They did daily ultrasounds, twice a week dopplers and 4 times a day NSTs. All had been going good until Sunday. Baby B had a major Deceleration. It was only once but they kept me on NST for a little longer then usual. I then started having contractions every 5 mins. Due to this, the OB and MFM decided it was best to deliver. They delivered me through C section and Baby A came at 10:55am at 4 lbs and 10 oz, 18 inches long. Baby B at 10:56 am at 3 lbs 7 oz 16.5 inches long. They are both in NICU, suspect for a few weeks, but are doing really well. I was finally discharged which felt amazing after being stuck in a hospital room for 2.5 weeks. Now just waiting for these two to come home.
