Is an 8:45 minute mile good for a 14 year old girl?
When I started cross country when I was 12, my miles were around 9 to 9:30 (I run between 2-2.5 miles every time) but I eventually got it down to 7:50. Then I lost motivation and didn’t run for quite a while. I finally picked it back up and was at a 10 minute mile (yikes!) and finally got it down to 8:45. I’ve been running every day (far more than I used to) and I shave off 30 seconds to a minute every time I run. Still, I’m scared I’m too far behind and won’t be any good during cross country season. Any advice for getting better times is appreciated, thanks!
