Is this bad?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years (age 15-20) and he’s never seen me without makeup. If I stay the night I immediately go to do my makeup, and every time we hang out I do my makeup (full makeup as in foundation, eyeliner, mascara). Is this bad?

To each their own I guess. I never wear make up. I'm curious why you feel the need to always have it on around him? 5 years is a long time and I'm sure you've hung out lots. In my opinion it shouldn't matter to him if you have a full face of make up and fancy dress or no make up, sweats and messy hair. You should feel confident enough not to wear it

If it's because you're worried he won't like you without makeup then yes. If you've chosen to spend so many years with someone you need to trust that they want you for you, not for what you look like.

Wearing makeup isn’t an issue at all, I wear makeup a lot of the time I’m around my SO. However, I think the issue here is you’re either self conscious of yourself without makeup or don’t trust your boyfriend enough for him to see you without it - or neither! I can’t read your mind 😅 but give it a go! He’s been with you this long, I highly doubt he will leave or judge you because of some makeup! He loves you, and will love you unconditionally.

I did this for the first few months, but mainly because I had acne and was super self conscious about it, but I realised if this thing is gunna last, he’s gotta love me with or without makeup. 
It depends who you’re doing it for, if you’re doing it for you, do what makes you happy. If you’re doing it for him, then that’s probably an issue.

I was like this with my boyfriend for like the first 3 months but then I was like I really can’t keep this up forever and I’m so glad I let my guard down. So much less effort and stress on myself.
However my acne got soooo bad now with pregnancy that I don’t even want to go camping with either of our families or anything like that cause I don’t want them to see without makeup. So I get the insecurity 100%
