Is it ok to announce at 7 weeks 3 days?

Question

I have a history of miscarriages; however, I have made it so much further! My others didn’t last past my first round of HCG draws immediately after finding out. This one, I had a transvaginal US at 6 weeks and 5 days and everything looked great. Nice heartbeat of 126. Measuring exactly to the day. Today I am 7 weeks and 3 days. My husband is 42 and exploding with excitement. Is this too early to announce we are expecting?

I personally wouldn’t, but I’ve known people to do it as soon as you!

I think this is a personal decision. I would base my decision off of this question: if for some reason something did happen would you be okay with telling/explaining to everyone that you had a miscarriage? If you would be fine with that then go for it! Let them know. My aunt had told our whole family really early on with one of her pregnancies and ended up having a miscarriage so she had to then tell everyone about the miscarriage but for her she said she liked it better that way because she had so much support even though it was devastating. But I know some people are more private than that and wouldn’t want the burden of then having to explain the loss if something happened. My husband and I waited to announce until 3 months with our first but with my second we told everyone at 8 weeks because I decided that I would be fine with people knowing if something did happen.

I told mine and my SO family the day it happened lol. They’re all really close and tell everyone basically anything so my SO wouldn’t have been able to keep quiet anyway. And I told my family cause I had a miscarriage in February. In February we told them around the same time too. With my first pregnancy my son, who is 3 now I announced on social media and everything when I was six weeks, that’s when I found out. This time our families know but I haven’t posted on social media yet, I’m waiting for an ultrasound but honestly I would’ve been posted it if I didn’t want to do a cute announcement this time, which is really just a baby due March 2020 poster lol! I say do it when you feel comfortable, losses happen at any time and it all depends on you if you want to have people there to support you if something did happen. With me I wanted to, I don’t have a mother figure in my life and my so family knowing really helped me because my sil and mil have both been through it and could answer my questions

It's totally okay to announce whenever you want. Any baby lost or born deserves to be celebrated, acknowledged and loved.

It is all personal preference some people tell people as they read the results on the tests while others wait 12 weeks and others wait even longer. I’m 8 weeks 4 days and have an ultrasound scheduled on Monday and as long as everything goes okay I may announce it to some close friends and family. My family knows and my husbands family knows because they knew we were TTC and also knew of the early chemicals I had so it was hard to lie when they’d ask about it. It’s been nice because they understand when I don’t feel up to something or why all of a sudden I’m not eating or drinking things and are constantly asking me how I’m feeling but keeping their distance too. For me it’s been nice to have the support. So if you feel like you are ready go for it! And if you don’t, no worries either 😉

It’s your personal preference! I was going to wait til 12 weeks but I’m a teacher and want to wait to announce to coworkers before social media (as they are big supporters for me) so I will wait until about 15 weeks once school has started. BUT as I said, your choice! Once I’m pregnant with my second kid, I will probably announce much sooner.

I'm 7 weeks an 3 days too! But me and my husband are the only ones who know.. I'm waiting till probably about 12 weeks to tell everybody! But that's just me! You do what you wanna do an whatever will make you comfortable! 😁

If you are dying to tell people tell close friends and family. Chances are they probably already know of your past miscarriages. Then you can do a social media announcement later on if that is your thing.

We announced at 8 weeks with our daughter and all was fine. We had a miscarriage last time so waiting much longer with this baby.

I told everyone literally RVERYONE at 4 or 5 weeks with my daughter thankfully everything went good now I’m  pregnant with my 2nd and nervous about it cause I’ve had spotting so I’m probably going to tel everyone when I know gender around 9 weeks with blood test
