I’m going for genetic testing (the 12 week ultrasound and blood work combination test where they test for Down’s syndrome, trisomy 18 and trisomy 13) in a few days and I’m really stressed out about it. I never had it done with my daughter but decided to get it done with my second pregnancy but ever since I booked the appointment I’ve been dreading it. I’m mainly concerned because I’ve read that there’s a high rate of false positives and it scares me because it would be so devastating. Has anyone had a false positive? Did the second test they give you then rule it out? How long did it take to get your results back from either test?
