My friend is having a hard time she recently gave birth 5 weeks ago and she has two other children a toddler who is 4 and a baby who is 1 so far she has 3 children with a basically absent father. The father I may mention also has another girl pregnant she is due this week. Today she took a pregnancy test which showed a faint positive line. She is in denial and won’t accept that she is pregnant. I need some advice on what to do here

Nothing you can do, she should known better and should've used birth control or the morning after pill.

Honestly? Tell her to continue to test, that line is so faint, It may still be HCG in her system from just having a baby. I tested after my pregnancy every week to make sure my levels were decreasing, that way once I had sex again I knew if I was pregnant. It took 7 weeks for the HCG to give me a negative test with a home test. Or tell her to call the doctor, and request bloodwork and repeat bloodwork to see if levels or increasing or dropping, or if he doctor with allow her to opt for one, an ultrasound.

She gave birth 5 weeks ago but was having sex before the 6 week postpartum mark? I think she should see a dr and have blood work done to confirm the pregnancy. If she isn’t pregnant then I’d highly recommend birth control

I mean,  was she having sex at just 2-3 weeks post partum against her doctors orders? With a man who has proven to be a poor father and is expecting a child with another woman? There's only so much you can do for someone who makes such bad choices. Hopefully,  it is just residual hcg from her recent pregnancy and she is not actually pregnant again and this will be a wake up call for her.

She may not be pregnant though. It takes weeks and sometimes months for the hormones in your body from pregnancy to subside. You can have a positive test after having a baby or miscarriage for quite some time.

She should have known better by this point. Everyone knows you are extremely fertile after having a baby and really that is on her.
