skipping period on pills

sooo i’m thinking of skipping my period using my birth control pills, although i’ve never done that. so i’m assuming I just skip my placebo pills and go straight into the active pills of my next pack right?

my question is once I finish the first row of active pills I use to skip my period, can I then go back and take the placebo pills that I skipped? and then finish my the new pack after that?? or does it not work like that?

I am going to visit my bf and he lives on a lake so i wouldn’t like to be on my period as we’ll probably be swimming/on a boat all day, but also would like to get my period to ease my mind that i’m not pregnant or something
