Apartment ?

I’m 19 w zero credit and I need an apartment soon. I moved out of my parents house due to a toxic environment @ 18 and have lived w friends but it’s not working out! I need one soon but idk the first thing about getting an apartment:( I’ve got like 1000 cash saved up, and that’s it. Pls help❤️

You’re going to need to pay first and last months rent, along with putting down a deposit (you get that back when you move out). You also need to prove a paycheck stub that you have a stable income that will ensure you pay your rent on time. No credit isn’t bad credit! They will also run a background check. Some apartments say you need to make at least 1-2x the amount of money in order to live there, but I’ve only seen that on a few descriptions while looking at places.

It depends on prices where you live and down payments etc.. look around your town and talk to landlords.  Maybe try applying for low income apartments if that would apply to you

I mean this in the nicest way but your kinda SOL until you have more saved up. I’m 19, and a restaurant manager and i still didn’t qualify for a one bedroom. My mom had to co-sign on my apartment. I also had over 3,000 saved up which was the only reason besides her co-signing that they let me get it... I have also already paid my security deposit. I still have to pay a $600 pet fee, electricity in my name ($200 just to put it in your name in my state) Not to mention furniture and anything you need.. Just save up as much as you possibly can!
