Period a week early??

So weird, I have never had an early period. Ever. 
Just got it 8-9 days early. 
I’m normally late if anything. It’s definitely a period, much heavier than implantation bleeding. 
What can cause an early period?

Did you track ovulation? Odds are you ovulated 8-9 days earlier. If not, that's a short luteal phase and you should get checked out by a doctor if you have short luteal phases. Your chances of getting pregnant are lower if that's the case. I believe it's low progesterone that causes that to happen, not sure. But it's an easy fix by a doctor prescribing meds to make your luteal phase longer.

Idk, it’s happened to me maybe 1-2 a year. 7 days early or late can still be considered normal.
