Ovulation symptoms

Hi all

It’s been one year ttc for me in my mid 30s!

I was diagnosed with few hormonal imbalances and had thyroid issues too in the past!

My RE said that I might not be ovulating and my periods are just a build up being washed off!

My question is I do feel symptoms like acne and sore breast mid cycle. Also I have felt little twinges around my estimated ovulation days!

Do these symptoms suggest that I might be ovulating and periods are not just the build up being washed off as doc suggested.

I had sex this month just a day before ovulation day but dint get pregnant. 😩😩😩

Also to add to it, my cycles are all over sometimes 40 days, 36 days, 50 days etc etc!!
