New car seat?

Question

I'm looking to buy a new car seat for my son. He is 6 months and almost 20lbs. He is getting big so fast so I would like a convertible one so I don't have to get another any time soon. I have looked into the graco 4 ever one but it's almost $300. I don't have to have one that is forever as long as it is rear and forward facing. Also I have a small car and would like it to fit somewhere other then the middle. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Graco slimfit is what works for us. We have 3 in our car lol. It goes to a high back booster with just the seat belt. Then I’ll probably buy a $20 no back booster.

We use Safety First Grow and Go and I highly recommend them.  They’re only about $150 and they are good all the way to 100 pounds. My daughter has been in hers for over 2 years and it still looks brand new despite many washes. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, etc.

Diono Radian 3RXT All-in-One Convertible Car Seat, Black
The slim fit is essentially the same dementions as the 4 ever. I’ve been in this Selena because I need 3 across. I’m going with the Diono Radian 3RXT. Very slim, so space is good. They have a few online less than 300 dollars. Not all the bells and whistles, but I’ve found nothing but positives with them since the recall a few years ago. That model was discontinued (it was the Diono Radian RXT that was recalled, new model is 3RXT.)

We have this for our 7 month old and it’s AMAZING. It used to be our sons (he’s 3) but we recently switched him to a booster chair. I’ll definitely be buying my daughter the graco chair when she is able to be forward faced
