Do they cauterize you?!

Question

I was just told a rather scary c section labor story by a co worker who said they cauterized(burned) her incision closed and she could smell it happen! Is this true? Do they not stitch you back up? 
I have done very little research of different  birth methods because I'm scared. Lol thinking maybe I should start.

Cauterization is used when opening (not closing) an area, such as when performing a c-section, as it is a highly researched and widely practiced method to significantly decrease bleeding during surgery. To close a c-section wound, stitching is required and some doctors even combine that with glue as well.

I've had 2 c sections and that never happened to me. They stitched me up. Did she get her tubes done?  They do burn the edges when you get your tubes done. But not a regular c section.

She must have had issues. They don’t cauterize you shut. I mean maybe if a couple days go by and a bigger part comes open. But generally, no. They either suture or glue you shut.

I had a csection 2.5 years ago and never had that done. I had dissolvable stitches and some glue that was it :p lol 
My mom had Staples with her first 29 years ago and after that nope lol!!
