Dealing with people and food around your baby?

So my pediatrician told me my son can start on food, and of course I told my family because I'm excited. We haven't had him eat anything yet and I walked in on my mom trying to feed him a popsicle, I caught her before she got it to his mouth but I don't even know how to approach this. Other people also have ideas on what they are going to feed him and we have a plan.

My mom is also not a logical or rational person so that makes this even more difficult 😭
