Sooooo GD test today

I had an appointment today for my gd test, rhogam, CBC, and thyroid test. I had to do my sugar load at 3:15 and my appointment was at 4:00 for the 4:15 blood draw.

My car broke down yesterday , so I scrambled all morning to find a ride there because SO couldn’t get off work last minute and Uber would have cost nearly $100 round trip, not something I could afford with a broken down car.

I got there at 3:45, after sitting in rush hour traffic for over an hour, and told them I had my GD test today and that I had my sugar load at 3:15.

At 4:25, I went back up to the desk to remind her that I was waiting on a blood draw and still hadn’t been seen 😫

It was too late. They couldn’t do an accurate test at that point and wanted me to come back next week.

I almost started crying 😂 love hormones!!! My midwife said we could do a random draw instead and if there are any issues with that then we can do the full test in future 😪

Got my check up and lovely rhogam injection in my butt and then spent another hour and a half sitting in traffic to get home 😂

I thanked my ride like 800000 times because it was 4 hours of her day wasted just to take me to my appointment.
