Why doesn’t my boyfriend compliment me?

I can’t recall a time he’s ever called me beautiful, unless I said something about me feeling insecure or I asked if he found me beautiful.

He’s never said it to my face. He doesn’t unless I prompt him to.

I ask him why he doesn’t compliment me and he says he thinks it, just never says it out loud. I want him to tell me these things. I want to hear him call me beautiful.

I know he finds me attractive and I know he loves me very much and he says I love you every day, but I wanna hear those other things too.
