What age was your newborn alert

I have a 2 month old preemie that’s turning 3 months next week on the 5th. I feel like she should start being more awake and alert by now after feedings. I been seeing how 1 month olds are alert and like to play. How many months was your newborn alert?

Everyone always comments about how alert my little guy is. Even at the doctors office, since a little before he was a month old for us.

About 5 or 6 weeks he started getting out of the sleepy newborn phase and got progressively more alert each week after.
