Are you able to hear when your upstairs neighbors do laundry? I live on the 3rd (top) floor and sometimes do laundry all night. I would hate to be "that" neighbor, but I assume since the laundry is far from the bedrooms, even the living room, it wouldn't be an issue.

This us our floor plan and our laundry is at the end of the kitchen (blue circle). We talked to our downstairs neighbors last year and apologized for our dogs running around occasionally and that we try to keep them from doing so, and they were really nice saying they get it and dogs need to run around. They said that and the occasional footsteps they hear is to be expected when living in a lower apartment. So with that being said, I don't see laundry being an issue, but I really try to be as considerate to my neighbors as possible.

And by the way, the other apartments on my floor (as shown above) are flipped, so it's not able to be heard next door.
