Pedicure in third trimester?

Hey girls
I'm just a few days away being in my third trimester (woo!!) I've heard/read all sorts of things about getting pedicures while pregnant, like it can induce labor. Any advice? My cousin wants to go get pedis today and while I'm sure it will be just fine...I can't help but be a little nervous

The pressure points have to be held for a long time and the person has to know what they're doing and baby of course has to be ready. You're totally safe to get a pedicure at any stage of pregnancy 😊

Just don’t allow them to massage you. Either wait they should know. I get a pedicure every 2 weeks and my manicurist knows she cannot massage my hands or feet.

You are fine to get a pedi.  It's actually a tradition for my friend to go get pedis together before baby is born.  There is a trigger point on your ankles that CAN trigger labor.  Only if it's worked for awhile, I learned that in massage school.  Not something you need to worry about.  You can ask the person if they've worked on pregnant women before.  Go get a pedi.  Enjoy yourself! I LOVE getting my feet rubbed! Lol

I got a pedicure at 30 weeks and plan to continue to get them until delivery. The lady doing my pedicure just skipped over massaging my feet and just gave them a nice little rub down. Every pregnant lady i know got pedicures throughout their entire pregnancy .

I had on done today the Pedicure was nice but let me tell ya the real MVP was that massage chair .. it was everything my back needed!

I got pedicures all throught my first pregnancy and this pregnancy with no issues. In fact, the day. Was induced with my first daughter I went and got a pedicure a couple hours before and it still didn't cause labor

I got pedis in my first pregnancy right up until the end with no issue. It felt so great to sit in a massage chair and have someone pamper my fat feet!!
