How can a incredible man come from such a horrible person!
Rant!!!!
My mil is a sweet lady who is married to an asshole, my husband says watch out his mom is two faced and likes drama. Lol- this is his mother.
His father is a mean angry drunk who thinks women are beneath him. Recently while out with my in-laws and their family. I stepped away due to my father in-law being on a drunken rant- I didn’t feel like being associated with them. He was making fun of everyone at the restaurant- loudly about people’s appearance and being an asshole pretty much. I came back after 5 minutes and he loudly blurts out are you cheating on my son. 😳🙄. You see my father in-law has had numerous affairs. So he thinks everyone cheats- and no I am not cheating on my husband nor have I. I didn’t even answer him. First of all he is a drunk and has obviously issues. My husband was livid- he doesn’t say much the whole night. He took me aside and told me he was sorry for how his father was acting. He always says you have to respect your parents. My mother in law only says not everyone is a cheater like you- to her husband.
I personally think my fil is intimidated by me. I have a great career that pays very well, I come for a good family with successful men and women. My fil feels women should stay home. Out of my husbands siblings he is the only one who works and doesn’t borrow money from his parents weekly. My husband and I live well below our means. My fil told me once to stop making so much money and showing up his son.- literally our income is none of his business! I don’t know if he guessed or what but he asked once what out annual income was. I told him we will not be discussing I financial status. Then he blunted out the number he was 2k under what our tax return was for the year.
I’ve told my husband I know he loves his family, but I prefer to be away from his father when he is drinking. My husband doesn’t say anything. My husband and I drink regularly, but we do not embarrass ourself or the company we keep.
Anyone have any suggestions?
