I flew out to Baltimore this weekend for a friend's wedding. When we stopped at her house, I met her two dogs. They were severely underweight. You could see both of their ribcages clearly and they were trying to steal food off the table.they were both then put back into their kennels and kept there for the 30 or so minutes we visited despite telling my friend that they were more than welcome to be out and about. she said that both of them are always trying to steal food so they always have to lock them away when food is out to prevent them from getting fat. I pointed out my concerns that we could see their rib cages and she brushed me off saying that it was the brand of food that they were on.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I brought it up to a few other friends and her family who also expressed concern but ultimately said that it was her choice.
