What did your newborn sleep in?

So I’m due in October and can’t figure out if I want my infant in a crib next to my bed or a bassinet... I was planning on doing the “sidecar” idea where you set the crib up as a toddler bed and you put it against your bed so it’s like an extended bed but baby still has it’s own room... now I’m thinking of how complicated it looks and I’m thinking maybe a bassinet would be a better idea... what did your newborn sleep in? I need ideas and advice

We did a halo bassinet until like 4 months when she got too big for it and then moved her to the pack n play until 6 months, and then finally to her own room/crib at 6months.

I'm having twins.  They're going to share a crib in our room for as long as they can.  I've been leaning towards the "sidecar" idea as well.

Pack n’ Play for us! She had trouble at first because the “mattress” it comes with is super thin and hard. We ordered a different mattress for the PnP and she slept like a baby! I wanted something I could use for longer than just a few months. It’s worked out well for us. Sometimes I still scoop her up and cuddle with her at bedtime though. Can’t help myself! They are only this little for so long!

A cheap bassinet next to the bed worked just fine for me. We moved baby to nursery/ crib just after 3 months

My son slept in the basinet setting of a pack n play.  Worked wonderfully plus you can use a pack an play far beyond the time youd use a basinet or cosleeper etc.

So this really how you feel once your baby comes , before I had my daughter I was like nope she’s sleeping in a crib not my bed bc then she won’t wanna sleep alone . Once I held my daughter I wanted her next me all the time , she’s about to be 9 months about a month ago we started to put her in the crib bc I’m pregnant and also due oct . You do what your heart thinks is best once the baby comes trust me you will find something that works for you

There are actual cosleepers out there!
They’re all sort of a variation of this. I found this in like 5 seconds on Instagram by searching the “cosleepers” hashtag, so it might not be the best company, I’m not sure.
