I have been given the option of doing genetic screening, I'm 32 and my husband is 38. My family is huge and only one cousin out of 36 in total on the one side had a baby born with issues (encephalopathy) so not sure if it's worth it or not?

Has anyone done it before? Or if not, did you wish you did?

I know it just gives a number of risk, so not sure if I want to know or not. I'm a scientist so I can understand why but being this our first baby I'm not sure I really want to make that decision of anything is wrong.

It really is a dilemma of the mind and heart.
