Am I overthinking things?

Question

My partner and I were casually watching Grey’s Anatomy and it was the episode where you find out the chiefs wife is pregnant. Randomly my partner says he wonders where our baby would be conceived and named a list of places. We aren’t actively trying for a baby right now, but I took it as he may want a baby soon. Is this me overthinking things? What would you think he meant?

I agree w everyone else that it’s just a random thought on his part. We definitely over complicate guys... if he wanted a baby he would come right out and tell u... men (or at least the men I’ve come in contact w) are pretty straight forward and if they want something they will say it.... one time my bf called us having sex “practicing making babies” ofc neither of us want babies rn... were too young but he was just being random and silly. I kinda took it the you did for a sec tho and was like ummm what?!?! Lol

Definitely seems like a random thought that is warranted from what he said. If that’s the first time something like that has come up, he’s probably just messing around. But if  this is a multiple occurrence, talk to him about it just so you are on the same page of what you both want.
