My husband & I were watching peppa pig with my daughter (11 months) and it was an episode where peppa had eaten so much pie, she was stuffed. My husband said “that’s you after you had dinner tonight”
I laughed and said “oh so you’re saying I’m a fat pig”? I assumed he was joking... and he responded with “I mean, I wouldn’t say no”. And just stared at me.
Last week I told him about how after having our daughter I felt huge & unattractive, I recently started kickboxing to try to lose some of my weight, I just want it off now. This was the last straw 😞

Girl, this is bullshit. Let me give an example for everyone reading. I love food, and sometimes my fiancé and I will lightheartedly joke about it. But he NEVER says things like, “I wouldn’t say that you’re not a fat pig,” especially when he knows I’m in a more self-conscious state. He would definitely never tell me something so cruel after I birthed his baby from my body, still carried the weight from it, had expressed my dislike of the weight and my self-consciousness. That’s insensitive, inappropriate, unsupportive, and ungrateful.
Perhaps he doesn’t see it like this. I recommend that if it’s still bothering you, you talk to him about it. He needs to know that shit like that is rude and inappropriate, and he also needs to understand and respect the impact his words have on you. Marriage is about respect in all cases; misunderstandings happen, and if that is the case, he should respect you enough to have a conversation, if not apologize.

Aw, he could had stopped himself from say it to your face. But I think he just had a foot in his mouth and didn’t realize that it was insensitive on his part especially he knew you are struggling with your weight loss journey at that moment. You know how some people can be so oblivious to their action when it happens at that moment. Just don’t strangle him at night, lol.
