At how many weeks did you install your car seat?

Hey ladies,
With this baby we decided to skip the infant carrier and get a Graco 4ever convertible car seat. I think with my daughter we installed the infant car seat base when I was 37 weeks. I’m thinking about installing this one sooner since it’s not something that can just pop in and out. How far along were you when you decided to install your car seat?

Don’t install it too soon. If you get in any kind of car accident, no matter how minor, you’ll have to replace it before the baby has even sat in it. 
Make sure you double check that your hospital allows convertible seats. Mine doesn’t allow you to leave unless you have an infant carrier seat.

I think with my first, I had it installed at 30 weeks. I'm 33 weeks & will most likely be using my sons car seat for our daughter & will have my sons new car seat installed within the next week.

I have the same car seat and am doing the same thing and skipping the infant seat. We installed it at like 34 weeks bc it didn’t fit in our very small house. Now I don’t need to worry about installing it and baby is coming any day

I put my daughter’s base in at 32weeks, she was born at 34weeks tho. 
Also make sure your hospital will allow you to leave with a convertible car seat. The hospital for my son didn’t allow it and my daughter in the nicu did a car seat check so she had to have an infant seat, wouldn’t allow anything else.

The hospital I'm delivering at won't let us leave with this car seat. It isn't a bucket seat or newborn seat, despite saying it can hold tiny babies. I learned with my daughter

My husband just popped it in before we were discharged real quick.

I didn't install ours until after he was born and even then we ended up having to take it out for an oxygen test in the hospital.

I would still wait until the very end because even a little fender bender renders it unusable.
