Does anyone else only breastfeed to save money?

I’m 10 weeks in & I don’t particularly like breastfeeding, but I can’t bring myself to quit & use formula due to the cost.

I breastfeed for a lot of reasons and personally wouldn’t use formula unless medically necessary but the savings is definite a huge plus to breastfeeding.

It gets a lot easier as baby gets older. Young babies clusterfeed and it's... intense. We breastfed for lots of reasons, but cost was definitely a big one. I personally believe breastmilk is the best thing for baby. 
That being said, mamas mental health is sooo important and if breastfeeding is causing it to deteriorate then something needs to be done. Do you have WIC in your area? They cover formula for infants. Even if you're supplementing with formula to help your mental health, there's no reason to feel bad about it. I supplemented when I just couldn't handle another minute of nursing. We made it to 17 months of breastfeeding before my son weaned when I found out I was pregnant again. Best of luck, mama.

It gets much easier! We do a lot of flying which was another reason I wanted to and now my LO just passed a year and we are still BF. Only way I know how to get her to sleep on the plane. 
But it really does get better, and will always be wonderful bonding moment.

YES! I wanted to quit but I'm too frugal lol I ended up pumping exclusively for several weeks and now I nurse as well and actually like it a lot better. I think I just needed time to toughen up and for baby to learn how to feed. Now it's a pain still but much more manageable, and I love the convenience of not having to bring bottles when I go out :P

It definitely played a roll in how long I breastfed for, not gonna lie. I also breastfed for the benefits, but cost of formula was involved in my decision.

Do you qualify for WIC? They give you formula. Maybe that would help? I’m not trying to get you to stop breastfeeding but if hate for you to get depressed over it or something!
