Do you think he’s teething?

5 month son have been F U S S Y! He wants to chew on everything. Especially my shirt when I hold him. He went from sleeping all night to waking up around 4 or 7 in the morning. Naps are more like 10 minute cat naps🙃

It’s definitely possible. Have you heard of the Wonder Weeks? Try downloading the app. Whenever my LO went through stages of fussiness or sleep disruption, that helped me immensely to see if he was going through a “leap” or if it was something else. AND it can give you a heads up about future leaps and possible fussy periods which is nice if you’re trying to plan something!

Yes! My daughter broke through two teeth at 4 months, and her gums looked like this before. Lots of chewing on everything and drooling

Maybe🤷🏻‍♀️ Babies are fussy and go through sleep regressions for a myriad of reasons, one of which is teething. They can also have issues if they don’t feel well, are going through a developmental leap (see the app, wonder weeks), or a physical growth spurt. You can try giving him a dose of Tylenol appropriate for his age and weight and see if it helps; if his fussiness is due to teething, that should help ease his discomfort. If it doesn’t help, you can probably rule out teething.
