I want to leave my babies father but I want to do it right.

I don’t want to take his baby away from him but I want more custody than him...

I am nursing plus he doesn’t help ever with the baby and he doesn’t really know how to and isn’t concerned enough with safety of our baby (doesn’t snap him into swings, seats, leaves his car seat on the ground by the car in parking lots while putting stroller away etc etc etc).

We’re not married and never were.

He is on the birth certificate.

I still live with him.

I don’t work currently.

I want to leave with my son but don’t want to run into any legal issues when trying to get custody.

Help?
