What would you do?

So I had an OB appointment today due to irregular bleeding and pain during intercourse, my husband and I are ttc for our second baby. My periods have been four times in the past month and 1/2. My OB said that I’m more than likely not ovulating due to depo (I got on in December, only got one shot) causing irregular bleeding. The pain is coming from me bleeding so much it’s made everything sensitive. He said the only way to get my cycles back normal is to start on birth control pills for a month. That just worries me as we’re ttc but if it’ll help knock everything back to normal I reckon I’ll do it. Has anyone else gone through this? If so what did you do?
