Melatonin? ***UPDATE***
Anyone out there using it for their babes?

I talked with my toddler’s ped, and She thinks it’s a great idea. Melatonin is a common sleep aid.
I am not “medicating my child to sleep.” I’m not giving her cough syrup or Ambien (or any other ridiculous thing y’all can come up with lol) It’s melatonin.
My child screams for literal hours at night. She wakes up multiple times screaming once she finally lets herself sleep. She wakes up at around 5am after falling asleep at 10 or 11. Refuses to nap. We can have a day full of activity and it still happens.
We’ve taken multiple steps before this option.
If anyone is struggling with this as well, I have the Zarbees “sleep with melatonin supplement.” I give her barely half of a serving at night and it truly helps. Talk with your child’s doctor before adding this to their routine, because it could be something else or why might recommend something different.
This has been the first week that she has slept over 5 hours in months.
Be kind, do what is best for your child, and sleep well.
